Today I remembered that I have to get a tuxedo for the Junior Prom. I called several places to find one that's opened on Sundays, and succeeded in finding several. Unfortunately for the place I chose to go to, just before being measured I spent two and a half hours at the riding stable where I volunteer, and the distinctive scent of the stables was, well, distinctive. I was surprised they let me in the front door. I was measured very quickly, and decided to get a vest after my mom suggested a cummerbund. They even had shoes that fit me, something that I did not expect. I have had trouble wearing dress shoes ever since I was little, and I had already tried to convince my mom that my Birkenstocks would look fine with a tuxedo. We were both relieved that I was able to rent "appropriate" shoes.
