2011 Scholarships Awarded

Last year’s fundraiser funded two scholarships for graduates of Amity Regional High School’s class of 2011. Colleen Oleynik of Woodbridge was awarded the Jared Rosner Athletic Scholarship and is now a freshman at Gettysburg College. The Jared Rosner Bucknell Scholarship was awarded to Kelly Udelsman, also of Woodbridge.

In addition, a donation was made to Columbus House, a New Haven organization that provides meals and emergency shelter to the homeless. The first fundraiser, in December of 2004, had the goal of raising money for one scholarship. Eight years later, we have been able to expand beyond that, funding two scholarships annually and providing over $16,000 to community organizations that Jared supported, such as Columbus House and the Ronald McDonald House, and some that he might have wanted to support, such as the Parenting Support Programs at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

The 7th Annual JRMSF Benefit to be held March 12, 2011

The Seventh Annual Jared Rosner Memorial Scholarship Fund will take place on March 12, 2011, from 6pm to 10pm at BAR (254 Crown Street, New Haven, CT).

This year's fundraiser to benefit the Jared Rosner Memorial Scholarship Fund set a new record, with $9700 in donations! The funds will be distributed in spring 2010 to local charities and Amity high school seniors.
